Manufacturing moulds for the automotive sector since 1968, our growth has been continuous, with a greater increase in the last decade due to internationalisation.
We make large moulds while still ensuring great attention to detail. We gain satisfaction from the fact that our customers are aware of the quality.
Today, we export more than ever, for larger parts and for larger customers. We provide services from our plants in Europe and America.
We continue to work with highly qualified personnel, a staff of 120 workers with extensive knowledge and a desire to improve.
We maintain high technological capabilities, thanks to investments in new technologies and large mould manufacturing.
OUR HISTORY
The beginnings
Lebario started its activity with six working partners manufacturing moulds for small parts in the local area. Lebario takes its name from a neighbourhood in Abadiño (Bizkaia), as this is where the house of one of the partners, in whose workshop this project began, was located.
Relocation to Izurtza
Due to the high market demand, the company Industrias Lebario was set up and began to grow, expanding its workforce. Lebario bought a plot of land in Izurtza to construct a building and transfer its activity there. In time, due to the growth of the company, three buildings were constructed.
A new era
The company’s management changed and oversaw the implementation of a strategic plan, which included internationalisation, a commitment to R&D&I and an increase in its large mould manufacturing segment. In order to promote export-oriented activity and innovation, the company opened a mould testing workshop in Irun, in collaboration with INASMET TECNALIA and other industrial partners.
Internationalisation in Europe
The company strategically planned an internationalisation process in 2008, setting up a production plant in Romania to support its main customers (RENAULT-DACIA, FORD, CIE Automotive, etc.).
Increase and diversification of the offer
A new strategic plan was developed that included the diversification of the company’s area of activity and products with important investments, as well as continuing to open up markets in countries such as Mexico and India.
Expansion into America
The geographical diversity of our projects has led to us establishing a new production plant in Mexico.
Consolidation of the group
Lebario consolidated itself as a holding structure that provides services to 3 companies.
